The Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary in Manistee has long had a house on the property that was built in 1938 alongside trails and an arboretum that are open to the public. But the house has also sat empty for years and has been relatively unused of late until now.
The Lake Bluff Farms nonprofit officially took custody of the Manistee property on April 15 and has been busy working on the 2890 Lakeshore Road site since.
Visiting the former Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary location now overseen by Lake Bluff Farms, one may look up and see a few giant sequoias in Manistee.
