Bed And Breakfasts On The Oregon Coast
There are many exceptional Oregon Coast Bed and Breakfasts up and down the Hwy 101 coastline that are suited for a perfect weekly getaway or weekend of romance.
Isolation, beautiful surroundings and the perfect setting are all key elements in finding that special romantic hideaway.
The Oregon Coast caters to lovers and a cozy little lover’s hideaway is just the ticket. B& B’s are like a home away from home, but with pampering on the agenda.
On one hand, it’s like staying the evening at your favorite Aunt Mabel’s house with all the knick-knacks and doilies you can shake a stick at.
On the other hand, your old aunt has brought out the fine China for you. Personal robes, in-room whirlpool baths, breakfast served sometimes downstairs in the dining area and other times at your door, private patios, fireplaces, and more are added to the package.
The majority of the ones that I’ve visited are run by husband and wife teams that have renovated a wonderful old home or their private residence to make it even more wonderful.
They have then turned it into a seasonal or year-round business which either provides them their main source of income or an extra source.
The B& B’s that have one to four rooms are referred to as Homestays, while the ones with more rooms are known as Inns.
Either way, because of the lesser number of rooms, you will want to make reservations well in advance.

Welcome To Clementines Bed & Breakfast
Offering safe and private premier lodging on Oregons North Coast, our restored 1888 Victorian inn is located in the heart of Astorias Historic District.
Its been more than 200 years since explorers and immigrants settled the North Oregon Coast region known today as Astoria, Oregon. Explorers were still looking for a Northwest Passage when Captain Gray discovered the Columbia River in the late 1700s, while others found this beautiful region of rich resources, freedom, pristine and wild territory. Lewis and Clark put it on the map as a United States territory in the early 1800s. Soon Astoria, OR was settled by waves of foreigners looking for fortune and a new life and claimed the rich region known today for timber, fishing. Now tourists come for this last American adventure and enjoy the rugged beauty of the Pacific Coast, coastal mountains, the mighty Columbia River and its estuary, and the rich wildlife and outdoor adventure.
Next door to the B& B is our Astoria vacation rental: the 1852 Jobe Ross house, which was used as The Moose Temple Lodge, an early fraternal club in the 1900s and later the Mormon Church. Today it accommodates guests and families and is pet-friendly. All rooms on the property have private baths, some fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs, luxury linens and guest amenities. Many rooms have views of the Columbia River, Coastal Mountains and city vistas. Rooms are decorated with eclectic antiques from the Victorian, Asian and rustic American periods.

The Best Inns And Bed & Breakfasts In Oregon
The Best B& Bs
- Portland’s White House : From the circular drive to the portico reminiscent of that other White House to the grand foyer and spacious guest rooms, everything about this inn is impressive. Who needs a presidential suite when you can have the whole house?
- Springbrook Hazelnut Farm : Set in the midst of the Yamhill County wine country, this working hazelnut farm captures the essence of rural Oregon and distills it into a tranquil and restorative retreat. You can opt to stay in the carriage house or a cottage.
- Black Walnut Inn : Set high in the hills above Dundee, this inn is designed to resemble a Tuscan villa and is a luxurious retreat amid wine-country vineyards.
- Abbey Road Farm : This fantasy farm in the middle of wine country has the most unusual B& B building I’ve ever seen. The inn is a collection of metal farm silos that have been converted into one of the prettiest and most luxurious inns in the state.
- The Secret Garden : Housed in what was once a sorority house and before that the home of one of Eugene’s founding families, this very elegant inn is utterly tasteful. The garden has some very interesting secrets.
- Arch Cape House : Patterned after a French château, this mansion-size B& B may seem oddly out of place on the Oregon coast, but no one staying here seems to mind. It could be the huge guest rooms and castlelike ambience, or it could be the abundance of European antiques and original art.
