Harrington House Bed & Breakfast History

In 1988, Frank Davis was walking the gorgeous Anna Maria Island beaches and spotted a charming piece of property. His vision became reality with great clarity when he discovered an idyllic 3-story home overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Frank immediately knew it had wonderful potential as a Bed & Breakfast. Renovations began, and in short order, Frank and other family members turned the beautiful 4,000 square foot Anna Maria Island Beach Front home into a Bed & Breakfast. The Harrington House opened on February 1st, 1989.

For more than 30 years, Harrington House Beachfront Bed & Breakfast has welcomed guests from all over the world. Come as a guest, leave as friend is a sign gracing the canopy of foliage along the walkway entering the front door. Closing our dream of operating a Bed & Breakfast was a bittersweet decision to make on April 1st, 2020. Its time for the Davis family to move on to our next chapter. Enjoying our hard work in paradise on the beaches of Anna Maria Island has always been a dream of ours. Our biggest regret will be missing out on reconnecting with all our loyal guests over 30 years. We will miss you!
