He named his business Frontier Enterprises, and with its loyal following it grew into the successful restaurant chain it is today with locations all over Texas. Most Scenic Breakfast In San Antonio: The Guenther House
Many years ago, my husband and I took the day off from work and grabbed breakfast at Guenther House. Sure, Magnolia is better known for its pancakes than Guenther House, but the charm of Guenthers is in its location and ambiance. You can eat your pancakes in a gorgeous old mansion while overlooking the San Antonio Riverwhats more magical than that?
As far as food goes, the menu is a lot simpler than what youll find at Magnolia, but the food is still out of this world. I recommend at least trying a stack of pancakes here, but the Chicken & Sweet Cream Waffle is always my go-to. If you want a little bit of everything, try the Breakfast Platter, which comes with biscuits, sausage, jam, fruit, and your choice of protein .

The Original Blanco Cafe is a beautiful old house that has been turned into a restaurant and its decorated with lovely paintings and antiques.
It specializes in classic Tex-Mex food, but the main attraction is its breakfast menu where youll find pancakes, omelets, Migas tacos, fajitas for two served with two eggs any style on top of warm flour.
Theyre one of the best breakfast all-day restaurants. You can never go wrong with a breakfast plate from Blancos late at night or first thing in the morning.
Top Review:So, Ive lived in San Antonio for most of my life and hadnt tried this place until a month ago. It quickly has become my favorite Tex-Mex place in all of San Antonio. All the food is delicious and large portions. I asked the waitress how the horchata is and she deservingly so, just laughed. The horchata is the best Ive ever had in my entire life. The breakfast tacos are on an elite level and enchiladas are very very good as well. Chandler S.

Best Pancakes In San Antonio: The Magnolia Pancake Haus
I didnt like Magnolia the first time I went there, but its grown on me the more Ive eaten here. Magnolia Pancake Haus serves German-inspired breakfast fare and its definitely a San Antonio institution. My husband always orders the frittata and makes little Mm noises when hes eating it, so I know hes a fan! I always order their pfannkuchen, which is basically a Dutch baby with caramelized apples, cinnamon, and cream. Its perfectly custardy, crispy, and decadent.
Magnolia has plenty of parking and lots of tables, but its not unusual to wait for a table if you eat at 8 or 9 am. I recommend getting here right when they open so you dont have to wait.

Where To Find The Best Breakfast Tacos In San Antonio
I spent most of my childhood in Texas, but it wasnt until I moved to San Antonio in 2010 that I realized that breakfast tacos were a thing. I was initially repulsed, associating tacos as a lunch or dinner food only.
But my friends finally peer-pressured me into trying a bean and cheese taco, and 12 years later, its still one of my favorite breakfast foods.
Every San Antonian has a breakfast taco spot that they claim is the best. Ill let you draw your own conclusions, but here are some of my favorite breakfast taco stops in the Alamo City.
