Brunch In Los Angeles: Jon & Vinny’s
This beloved Italian eatery takes Italian food to the next level. Customers at Jon and Vinnys can enjoy authentic Italian pastries with their breakfasts, like bombolones stuffed with Nutella, custard, or jam, or delicate shell-shaped sfogliatelle. Breakfast sandwiches, served on fresh ciabatta bread, as well as breakfast pizza or Italian-style egg scrambles round out the breakfast menu, and of course no brunch at Jon and Vinnys would be complete without an authentic cappuccino.

Franks Restaurant & Smoke House
Known for their homemade biscuits, Franks has been serving up a variety of homestyle delights since 1964. With three locations in and around Baton Rouge, Franks makes 600 to 700 piping hot biscuits every day. A family-run restaurant now in its third generation of ownership, Franks announced in 2014 that they would begin selling biscuit mix for patrons to make their own at home, but that hasnt stopped their fans from returning for hot breakfast.
Ranked the #5 breakfast in Baton Rouge by Foursquare, they offer an extensive menu that includes omelets, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes and french toast. All traditional breakfast flavors. All served with a Franks twist. And dont worry if you cant make it in the morning at Franks, breakfast is served all day long.

Another Broken Egg Cafe
Another Broken Egg Cafe is a breakfast restaurant chain that is growing quickly. It began in Louisiana in 1996 and now has over 100 locations around the country, although most are still in the South. The atmosphere at this chain is pleasant and the food looks pretty when it arrives at your table. However, there is one real issue with Another Broken Egg Cafe that relegates it to the middle of our list: the prices are way too high.
Everything on Another Broken Egg Cafe’s menu is overpriced, both food and beverages. What’s more, the food is more about style than substance. While it’s no doubt very Instagram-worthy if you’re into documenting your meals, unfortunately, it doesn’t taste quite as good as it looks. Not that the food is bad by any means, but it fails to meet the high expectations raised by its high price point. If you’re willing to pay top dollar for a high quality breakfast, there are likely some non-chain restaurants in your area that would do a better job.
State Farmers Market Restaurant
Considered one of the nations best markets, the Raleigh Farmers Market is also home to one of the most popular Raleigh breakfast restaurants and a place to get a country breakfast and Southern dining experience.
They start each meal with their highly acclaimed REAL BISCUITS, hand-made using the best NC self-rising flour and real Buttermilk, or order a biscuit as a main meal with fillings .
Country ham and eggsGigantic biscuits
Their menu features many fresh grown North Carolina based products, and popular items include their Granny Cones Sampler , country ham, omelets, and of course their biscuits. Get there early on a weekend as this place gets busy!

La Breakfast: Pann’s Restaurant
The cushioned white pleather seats at the long bar inside Panns Restaurant overlook the grill, where cooks flip pancakes, cook eggs, and avoid the spit of bacon grease. By the windows, the red upholstered booths make for a slightly more intimate atmosphere for guests trying to enjoy each others company as much as they enjoy their meal. Panns takes customers back to a simpler time as they serve traditional diner fare, like Belgian waffles and three egg omelets, alongside Panns Breakfast dishes like fried chicken served with two eggs, grits, hash browns, fresh fruit, toast, or sliced tomatoes.

The Flying Biscuit Cafe
The Flying Biscuit Cafe is another nouveau-trendy breakfast chain with a down-home hipster vibe. It started up in Georgia in the ’90s, but over the past few decades has grown into a modest regional chain with 25 locations in North Carolina, Florida, and Texas. One of the best things about the Flying Biscuit’s menu is the fact that it does offer a more extensive selection of vegan and vegetarian items than is typical for a breakfast chain it’s even got Beyond biscuits and gravy. It also stays true to its roots with Southern dishes like fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. What we like best are the Southern-inspired breakfast dishes like the Southern Style Benedict with pimento cheese and the Georgia Peaches and Cream Waffle Breakfast.
The Flying Biscuit also has a beverage menu that goes above and beyond what you find at most breakfast chains. In addition to juice, coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies, it also has a selection of mimosas including such out-of-the-ordinary offerings as mango, pineapple, and passion fruit. The brunch crowd also has the option of ordering beer, micheladas, sangria, or Bloody Marys made with sake. While the reason for this variant version is likely because the restaurant lacks the license to serve hard liquor, the sake does make for a surprisingly tasty, umami-rich alternative to vodka.
Iris Coffee Lab & Cafe
Hotshot Bagel by Iris Coffee Lab
For those in the Glenwood South District area, Iris Coffee Lab & Cafe has got you covered. Whilst there are no shortage of bars and dinner spots in this area of downtown Raleigh, there was a definite lack of local coffee shops until Iris opened their doors during the pandemic.
Upon entering youll notice how modern, clean and cool the space is, coupled with personable staff and a relaxed vibe to sit for a while and enjoy a lovely coffee and bagel, or pull out your laptop and work online over breakfast.
They have a rotating menu that changes daily, for example at time of publishing bagels are a feature, with their Hotshot Bagel an all time best seller: egg, cheese, bacon, chive cream cheese, and hot honey from NY. In the past weve had smashed avo on toast and donuts. Super cute place that is continuing to evolve!

Benjamin Steakhouse Is My Go
When my carnivore itch needs scratching, Benjamin Steakhouse does the trick. First opened in 2006, the restaurant quickly made a name for itself, and now the walls are covered with autographed pictures of celebrity diners from Bill Clinton to Trevor Noah.
I prime my palate with tried-and-true appetizers like the jumbo shrimp cocktail served with tangy cocktail sauce or clams on the half shell. There are fish and chicken options, but the standouts are prized cuts like New York strip steak, porterhouse, and filet mignon. The beef is dry-aged for 28 days and trimmed to just the right ratio of lean-to-fat, with a buttery center and lightly charred exterior. It’s always cooked to my specifications, so when I order medium-rare I get medium-rare.
Standard steak house sides include light-as-a-cloud creamed spinach, fluffy mashed potatoes, and a wedge salad loaded with bacon, cherry tomatoes, and blue cheese.
Must try: The porterhouse steak, a composite cut that includes both the filet and the loin.

Chashu Pork Belly and Smoked Duck Breast Eggs Benedicts.
If youre up for Asian fusion brunch, youll definitely want to pop into Chillax Coffee, located around the corner from Richmond Green.
I love the industrial vibes of the restaurant, and they even have a cool light bulb sign!
Youll find a wide variety of brunch and lunch dishes at Chillax, with dishes like their Pork Belly Chicken Banh Mi, Thai Red Curry Clams Spaghetti, and Duck Breast Tonkotsu Ramen.
We typically go for their Eggs Benedicts or Chicken & Waffles
For drinks, theyve got quite a few coffee and tea options, including their Hojicha Latte and Rosy Latte.
You can also find fun and delicious seasonal drinks like their past Strawberry Shortcake Cappuccino and current Peppermint Mocha!
Hojicha Latte. The Hojicha Latte is also available iced.
I like that you can order directly through a QR code at your table, and they used to allow you to pay that way as well, but I think theyve recently changed this!
Definitely make a reservation or add your name to the Yelp waitlist if you visit on the weekend for brunch, cause it gets super busy.
I Never Get Tired Of The Pizza At John’s Of Times Square
Once the site of the Gospel Tabernacle Church, the still-intact stained-glass windows are a hint that the pies at John’s of Times Square are classic and heavenly.
I start my carb-feast with garlic rolls stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese before making room for the thin-crust pizza. Don’t think about asking for a slice, as John’s pizza is only available in a 6-or 8-slice pie, with a 10-inch personal pie in the gluten-free variety. The tomato sauce and cheese are very high quality, and you mix and match with the usual toppings, from meatballs to anchovies. Four coal-fired brick ovens are set at a blistering 800 degrees, so the pizza is ready in a jiffy.
They make excellent calzone too, pizza dough stuffed with mozzarella and ricotta cheese, folded into half-moon shape, and baked in the pizza oven to crisp-chewy perfection.
Must try: Pizza topped with Italian pork sausage.

Paia Bay Coffee & Bar
Located in the hub of Mauis North Shore is Paia Bay Coffee & Bar. It is a fantastic choice for one of the best places for breakfast in Maui, but its also a great spot for coffee with friends, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and late-night events in Paia Town.
Another thing that makes this spot so convenient is the super-fast WIFI. You can also enjoy a meal and get some work done from your laptop with a tasty caffeinated bevy.
Paia Bays breakfast menu is nothing short of sweet perfection. All items are made from local, sustainable, and organic ingredients. They use local Maui coffee beans for all of their drinks and they serve freshly baked croissants, vegan and gluten-free options, and sweet vibes from their well-chosen staff members.
Our favorite breakfast items at Paia Bay Coffee include the Acai Bowl, Organic Eggs & Smoked Salmon, and the Vegan Bagel Sandwich made with pesto, hummus, roasted red peppers, avocado, tomato, and locally grown baby greens. A notable mention is that their homemade croissants can be ordered as a breakfast sandwich with options that include Nutella, Feta Cheese, and Bacon & Brie.
