What are people saying about bed & breakfast in Port Angeles, WA?
This is a review for bed & breakfast in Port Angeles, WA:
“My sister and I had such a great stay at the Manor! Check in/coming and going was super easy with the smart locks. The location is great – close to downtown and a short drive from Olympic National Park. We had an incredible breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed meeting Sydney and Alex! They’re so welcoming, great to talk with, and had awesome recommendations. The house is very clean and the room was very comfy!Highly recommend, I know we can’t wait to stay there again!”
What Our Guests Say
“My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our 1 year anniversary trip to Washington. As we pulled down the flower lined road, we were blown away by the beauty of the Inn and property. Once inside, we received wonderful, friendly hospitality and felt right at home. From the beautiful room we stayed in, to the service, to the breakfasts, we felt comfortable and blessed to be there. Our second morning we saw a deer grazing in the backyard as well as an eagle swooping through the sky: regular visitors to this Inn. We loved every minute of our stay and we can not recommend it enough. Please make a stop here if you are visiting or live in the state!”
“It’s so easy to curl up in one of the terry cloth robes and just sit and watch the ships slide by across the water while enjoying our evening cocktail. The bath tub was glorious. The bed was divine. Where did they get those sheets?! The breakfasts were delicious. Our hosts Dan and Janet were friendly and present if needed. In general, I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for a special get away. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and staying here made it even more amazing.”
“This was our second stay at the George Washington Inn. Superb! Great rooms with view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the inn’s lavender farm. We used this spot as our base for exploring Olympic National Park. Great breakfasts with the Inn’s hosts, Dan and Janet. We’ll be staying there again.”

Breakfast At Domaine Madeleine
Okay confession: while we were at Domaine Madeleine we didnt actually do the full-service breakfast. They had it arranged for us but due to our plans of making it up to Hurricane Ridge to take the kids to the snow they scrapped our fancy breakfast to make it easier for us. And they packed us the most elaborate breakfasts to go.
When you stay at Domaine Madeleine you have two breakfast options: you can either have a boxed breakfast which they will prepare and place in the refrigerator for you or you can have a full-service breakfast in one of their dining areas. The full-service breakfast looked absolutely beautiful which I know because I spied on people who were taking part. Its smelled too good to stay in our room eating fruit with the kids, so I just had to peek. The table was set so perfectly and it was clear the other guests were having an amazing time. I kind of wish that we would not have skipped out on our breakfast in favor of snow. Oh well. #LessonLearned
Our boxed breakfasts were amazing though. Each morning they were a little different but we were sure to have low-fat Greek yogurt, granola, some pastries of some sort, fresh fruit, cheeses, juice and coffee, and mints to follow. We also had some awesome Pacific Northwest smoked salmon and some cured meats. You know we love our salmon in the Pacific Northwest and thats always a guaranteed way to win our hearts.

A Labor of Love
The 20 acre estate of A Hidden Haven was little more than saplings planted over from a log harvest when it was purchased in 1976 by its owners Chris and Jodi. For over 42 years they have nurtured, honored and shared their slice of heaven! Today it is a lush valley of rolling terrain sculpted by two streams that run throughout the well established forest. Enhanced by the careful guidance and hard work of man and machine, this hidden haven provides much of what the Olympic Peninsula has to offer right on site.
Nature & Wildlife
The five luxury cottages that comprise A Hidden Haven are placed in the most idyllic of settings. An abundance of wildlife is called in from the surrounding wilderness by the sounds and feed produced by the life cycles of the streams. Birds, waterfowl, aquatic creatures and wild animals can be seen at times going about their daily business. A nature trail winds its way throughout the glen bringing you into the lush flora of the stream bottoms, over and along ridges of the valley sides and back into the lawns of the main gardens.

Booking A Stay At Domaine Madeleine
Now you know how amazing this awesome Port Angeles bed and breakfast is so let me tell you the bummer: they do an absolutely incredible job and people know it so they book pretty far in advance. Like with any sort of stellar accommodations in Washington State, know that booking in the shoulder seasons and outside of winter holidays is a great way to secure a room. Book Domaine Madeliene here!
Note: if you dont know what a shoulder season is, its the time between the end of summer travel and the beginning of holiday travel, and then that spot in between the holidays and spring breaks.
Dont let Domaine Madeleines popularity be any sort of deterrent in trying to get a stay here. If you want to visit, just reach out to the hosts and ask when you can do it. The website is super easy as well, but working directly with the hosts you can find a time thats right for you whether its midweek or a weekend. Trust me, its worth figuring out.
